Phrase needed in application: Fantasy realms are real
Character name: Gianna
Race: Fairy
Gender: Female
Age: 19
Appearance: Gianna possess large eyes the color of a forest in the sunlight, a light green with flecks of brown. Her face is softly round, while her nose is slim and her mouth full. Gianna has an atheltic body. She stands at about 5"2'. Clothing usually consists of earth colored tunics, light brown leggings, and knee high boots. Her hair is a dark brown, not unlike the bark of a tree. Protruding from her shoulder blades are large, nearly evenescant wings. Although they appear fragile, the wings are in fact quite strong.
Home: Myst Forest
Clothing: Earthy colored tunics, light brown leggins, and knee high boots, usually brown.
Prefered weapons: Her control over the element earth.
Skills: Gianna is very apt at wielding the element of earth. Also, she is skilled in the art of bowmanship as well as arm scythes. These weapons are trademarks of the tribe she was raised in.
Weakness: Gianna cannot swim, as she has never learned and is too afraid to draw too close to water. Also, she is deathly afraid of fire. She hates how destructive it can be. Gianna is not physically strong. She would probably be easily overpowered if a fight came down to simply brawn and muscle.
Personality/traits/Habits: Gianna is more on the shy side. She blames it on being raised in a murky forest. However, once she becomes accustomed to someone, she is very easy going, humorous, and talkative. Some of Gianna's finer traits are her trustworthiness, loyalty, and willingness to complete a job once started.
Pet: (optional): N/A
Brief History: Gianna was raised in the myst forest. Her parents were part of an earth tribe who lived within its murky depths. The tribe kept to themselves, but on occasion would aid a lost human or other creature. The tribe also acted as protector of the forest. Wielding bows with deadly acuracy, and arm scythes that were a blur in action, the tribe was lethal in battle. As such, Gianna was taught to wield both weapons flawlessly. When she was about five, her power over the element earth became apparent. Most of the tribe were of the element as well, so they taught her how to control this power. When Gianna learned of the evil that was seeping through the land, she desired to help the land and free it. The only place she could think to go was the famous elemental academy. So, bidding farewell to her family, Gianna set off for the school. She arrived safely, and now learns further about her element.
Element house: Earth.
Role Play sample: The forest was erily still as Gianna crept through the foliage. The crisp snap of a twig made her stop in her tracks. Breathing slowly and softly, she listened with all her being. Dangerous creatures lurked within the forest, and for a fairy traveling alone, they could be deadly. Gianna cast her eyes to the sky. Flying would be no good; the canopy above her was too thick and tangled. There were no good branches to perch on so she could use her bow. No, she had to walk quietly on the undergrowth, with only the earth and her blades as protection. When no other sound became apparent, Gianna risked taking another step forward. At that moment an ear splitting roar broke through the stillness. Great. Wild bear. A heavy footstep sounded behind her. Gianna closed her eyes in fear and licked her lips. Heavy breathing could now be heard, and Gianna's only choice was to run, which would be certain death, or to turn and fight. Fight. Twirling quickly, Gianna came around to face the giant creature. The bear was at least 12 feet around, both tall and wide. It's fur was pitch black, and the eyes a feral red. Not only a wild bear, a rabid one as well. Thought was then impossible as the bear rushed her. With a shout of surprise, she dove to the side, avoiding the charge by an inch. Jumping back to her feet, she faced the back of the bear. I don't want to kill you. So I'll just stop you. Flinging her arms outward, she cast out her elemental control. Slowly, vines crept forward, ensnarring the bear around the legs. As it realized what was happening, the creature put up a fierce struggle. By the time Gianna had successfully ensnared the beast, sweat was dripping down her forehead. "Its for your own good," she gasped. The bear tried growling, but vines were wrapped around its muzzle as well. "If you'll excuse me." Stepping around the giant creature gingerly, Gianna continued on her way.
